PARKING AT RICE UNIVERSITY
For best access and reasonable parking rates, it is recommended that QFest patrons park their car in WEST LOT 5, between Entrance 8 and the Football Stadium. Fees are $1 for each 35 minutes, with a $10 daily maximum.
For those seeking more affordable rates, The GREEBRIAR LOT, west of the football stadium offers $1 per day entry. You may enter the lot along Greenbriar Blvd. from Entrances 13A or 13B, or from Entrance 16 from Rice Blvd.
PAYMENT IS BY CREDIT CARD ONLY
Machines at the entrance gates will instruct the driver to insert a credit card (American Express, VISA, MasterCard or Discover). When the gate opens, the computer’s “parking meter” begins. Upon leaving, the visitor drives to the exit gate and inserts the same credit card. It is very important to use the same credit card used at entry while exiting, otherwise the computer will not recognize the card. The gate will open in approximately 2 seconds, at which time the meter stops. The computer calculates the time, briefly shows the amount, and automatically bills the credit card.
Please note: Only one car may enter per credit card.

QFEST 2009 PRESENTS OUT IN THE SILENCE
In collaboration with the Houston GLBT Community Center and Rice University on-campus sponsor, Queers & Allies, QFest 2009 is proud to present the Houston premiere of the award-winning documentary Out in the Silence. LEARN MORE
Joe Wilson, producer, co-director, and writer, will be in attendance. A panel discussion will immediately follow the screening.
The screening will take place Wednesday, October 28 at 7pm at the Rice Media Center on the campus of Rice University (University Blvd, Entrance 8 at Stockton Dr.). High School and College students will be admitted free with a student ID. All others will be asked to consider contributing a $5 donation at the door.
